The role is to assist the business development team in implementation of business development strategic projects and to win projects for the company. Manage relationship with existing and potential clients to develop new opportunities and advance organisation's business interests. Follow from enquiry to award of the projects and continuous customer relationship in delivering the project to the satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- To provide full support on generating enquiries, follow up with internal costing, coordinating, submission of offer and follow up with client for award.
- Define, identify and implementation of market entry strategies globally via primary and secondary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, and customer needs assessment.
- Work closely with the Business Development Director and the team to identify and evaluate new markets for existing products and services, and other development and marketing partnership opportunities.
- Report to BD Director functionally, Report to Country Manager or Nominee on weekly reporting of the BD process.
- Serve the middle east region including Saudi Arabia
- Ensure customer retention and satisfaction for repeat jobs.
- Participate in meeting and negotiations with potential clients and business partners to pursue business opportunities and advance the organisation interest.
- Undertake market research (in house or outsource) to keep the management abreast of latest market and industry trends.
- Evaluate the findings of market research; assess the viability of alternative market segment for growth and make recommendations to the Business Development Director.
- Assist the Business Development Director to identify, build, and manage long-term business relationships with strategic partners in Oil and Gas industries.
- Provide full support to Business Development Director to drive strategic initiatives related to business development opportunities and strategic alliances, JV's , distribution agreement, mergers/acquisitions/divestitures, IP rights licensing etc.
- Make decision for the organisation within his/her designated authority by assessing ROI, risk and cost/benefit.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- At least 7 - 10 years of relevant working experience in business development, preferably in engineering, construction, or Oil and Gas industry
