Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mine Closure Consultant to join national multi-disciplinary consulting firm in Perth. It can also be based anywhere on the Australian Eastern border. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mine closure planning and implementation, with a focus on environmental management and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage mine closure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Develop and implement mine closure plans, including strategies for environmental rehabilitation, land reclamation, and closure cost estimation.
Conduct site assessments and environmental impact assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and clients to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff members and project teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in mine closure consulting or related field.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations and guidelines related to mine closure.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
