Job Title: Water/Wastewater Engineer
Location: St Paul, Minnesota
Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 per year (Depending on Experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team. As a Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing water and wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in the field, demonstrating expertise in water and wastewater engineering principles, regulations, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop water and wastewater treatment systems, including process design, hydraulic design, and equipment selection.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for water and wastewater projects.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of water and wastewater projects.
- Perform hydraulic modeling, water quality analysis, and risk assessments.
- Conduct field inspections and performance evaluations of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the field of water and wastewater engineering.
- Mentor junior staff members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- 4-8 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, with a focus on design and project management.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and water/wastewater modeling software (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD).
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes, wastewater treatment technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
