Job Title: Water Resources Project Engineer

Our client, a nationally recognised engineering consulting company, is actively seeking a highly qualified Water Resources Project Engineer to join their team in either their Denver or Colorado Springs office. As an industry leader, the company specialises in providing comprehensive engineering solutions with a focus on stormwater and water resources projects. If you are a seasoned, self starting and entrepreneurial engineer with 5+ years experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater engineering, we invite you to apply for this challenging and rewarding position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
- 5-12 years of experience in stormwater engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred, or ability to get one in 6 months.
- Proficiency in hydrology/hydraulics software and AutoCAD/Civil3D, GIS or similar.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed reports, plans, and designs for various water resources engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize AutoCAD/Civil3D and GIS for project design and development.
- Apply practical knowledge of hydrology/hydraulics software, including HEC-RAS (1D/2D preferred), HEC-HMS, CUHP, EPASWMM, and HY-8.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Letters of Map Change (LOMC) and contribute to floodplain mapping efforts.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project success.
