Responsibilities
- Provide Water Resources expertise on storm water structures and system design, Hydrologic and hydraulic studies, stream stabilization and restoration, BMP design, general site design, industry standards, and civil design practices
- Provide expertise on various H&H analysis softwares for 1-D and 2-D modeling
- Provide expertise on sediment transport and scour analyses related to bridge foundation projects a plus
- Provide oversight of environmental projects to include NPDES permitting, water quality analyses and studies, MS4 and regulatory compliance, water resource system studies/reports and associated design of improvements
- Provide expertise on environmental support such as permitting, forest stand delineation, wetland delineation, and other environmental studies a plus
- Provide oversight and technical guidance for multiple tasks and projects related to water resource projects
- Active in business development of future pursuits and client management for water resource and environmental projects
- Manage and deliver projects on time and on budget, while meeting quality requirements
- Identify potential clients and project opportunities
Qualifications
- B.S Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in MD or DC
- 10-15 years working as a Water Resource Engineer, with previous experience as a Design Manager or Task Manager for projects
- Experience working with local communities, including assisting operators with treatment solutions, start-up services and commissioning
- Experience in Business Development and a Seller-Doer mentality preferred but not necessary
