Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Traffic Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for designing, planning and managing transportation projects while conducting impact studies on parking facilities. The ideal candidate should have experience developing road safety improvements that make our roads safer.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a traffic engineer with relevant experience within the transportation sector
- Proficiency in traffic analysis software such as Synchro and Vissim
-Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices
Skills:
Design:
As a traffic engineer you would need excellent design skills which include creating detailed plans for new infrastructure such as roundabouts or sidewalks; making sure they meet all necessary regulations whilst ensuring best practices are followed throughout each phase of construction.
Planning & Management:
You must possess strong project management skills to effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects by setting up realistic timelines/deadlines/goals based upon available resources including budgeting requirements etc.
Transportation Impact Studies:
Conducting Transportation/parking impact studies requires analyzing data collected during field work/observations/surveys about various aspects like vehicle speeds/volumes/modes used by commuters so we can identify areas where changes might improve efficiency reducing congestion across different modes (e.g.: buses/trains/bikes).
