We have a current opportunity for a Sustainability Consultant (Renewable Energy) on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Japan.
The company has established business across the Asia-Pacific region and are expanding their business. They are hiring Renewable Energy Advisors & Sustainability Consultants to join their new team to provide client services and drive commercial revenue for the company.
Candidates with prior experience energy advisory, sustainability consulting, investment advisory in renewable energy and/or decarbonization fields are preferred. The ideal candidate should have a customer-centric mentality and be a confident self-starter who thrives with autonomy in a team-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive energy and utilities strategies aligned with clients' targets (Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3).
- Create GHG inventories, including methodologies, emission factors, management tools, and support clients' third-party environmental reporting (TCFD, SBTi, RE100).
- Conduct market intelligence for various countries, identifying sourcing opportunities for clients.
- Perform market analysis to build client strategies for decarbonization across their supply chain.
- Advise clients' investment strategies in renewable energy projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Require a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) at a minimum.
- Possess over 7 years of substantial experience in renewable energy advisory or sustainability consulting, specializing in Commercial & Industrial ("C&I") and/or public sectors.
- Proven track record for building strong relationships with various stakeholders, and have strong data analysis skills in sustainability or renewable energy.
- Proficient in Business level Japanese and English
