Summary:
A local Dallas/Fort Worth construction contracting firm specializing in underground utility, tunneling and excavation currently has an opening for a Superintendent. Experience in construction: excavation, grading, site work, large diameter pipe, etc. would be preferred. Superintendents would be required to plan, carry out and maintain a safe and successful construction site.

The Superintendent will be responsible forโฆ
- Enforce strict compliance of safety requirements and ensure a high level of reprimands or rewards
- Organize project by understanding plans and specs.
- Confers with project manager and estimator and has plan for construction established before mobilization
- Ensure that schedules are prepared on time and are reviewed with the appropriate employees
- Focus project team to consistently exceed estimated labor production estimates
- Consistently inform inspectors, internal management and owners of progress
The Superintendent should have the following qualificationsโฆ
- 5 years civil construction leadership and/or underground utilities experience is required
- Large diameter, deep underground pipe experience preferred
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- Able to travel extensively to projects around Dallas
- Proven planning and organizational capabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
