A local Florida heavy civil firm is currently seeking a Superintendent specializing in overseeing water/wastewater construction projects. With a portfolio of projects including water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, water line/sewer line, and more, the Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the projects and making sure all responsibilities are done in an accurate and timely fashion.
This firm chases work across Southern Florida, and this Superintendent in particular is expected to travel around the Fort Lauderdale area. The Superintendent will be responsible for:
- Supervising the timely and cost effective installation of the contracted work
- Planning and organizing project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents
- Having working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts and purchase orders
- Scheduling and monitoring field productivity
The Superintendent should have the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as Superintendent in water treatment work
- Industry savvy with a strong knowledge of the engineering of the contracted work
- Demonstrated ability to lead field operations
