Job Title: Lead Substation Protection and Control/Physical Design Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Substation Protection and Control/Physical Design Engineer to join our team in Lake Mary, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of protection and control systems for substations, as well as the physical design of substation equipment and layout.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead the design and implementation of protection and control systems for substations
-Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team in the areas of protection and control and physical design
-Conduct studies, including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and harmonic studies
-Develop and review protection and control system specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams
-Design, review and approval of substation layout, equipment arrangement and grounding design
-Coordinate with other disciplines, such as electrical, civil, and structural, to ensure all designs meet project requirements
-Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements
-Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and testing
-Provide training and mentoring to junior team members
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
-Minimum of 8 years of experience in substation protection and control and physical design
-Experience with protection and control systems, including relay setting calculations, relay coordination and system studies
-Experience with substation physical design, including equipment layout, grounding design, and conduit and cable routing
-Experience with substation equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protection and control systems
-Familiarity with industry standards, such as IEEE and ANSI, and regulations, such as NESC and NEC
-Excellent communication and leadership skills
-Ability to work well in a team environment
