Salary: $120,000 - $190,000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior-Principal Environmental Planner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading environmental planning efforts for a diverse range of transportation projects. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects while also supporting our marketing and business development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage environmental planning activities for transportation projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and project requirements.
- Author CEQA documents, including Initial Studies, Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs), and Mitigated Negative Declarations (MNDs), with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on environmental planning issues, including but not limited to air quality, noise, biological resources, and cultural resources.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to facilitate the permitting process and resolve environmental compliance issues.
- Assist in marketing and business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and networking activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in environmental planning, with a focus on transportation projects.
- Proven track record of authoring CEQA documents and conducting environmental compliance assessments.
- Thorough understanding of California environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Experience in marketing and business development is desirable but not required.
- Ability to bring a book of business is preferred but not required.
