Job Title: Solar Financial Planner and Analyst
We are seeking a seasoned Solar Financial Planner and Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and investment, with a proven track record of expertise in financial modeling within the renewables industry. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the financial viability and profitability of solar energy projects, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate the financial feasibility and potential returns of solar energy projects.
- Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to incorporate project costs, revenue projections, tax incentives, financing structures, and energy production forecasts.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation to enhance project profitability and internal rate of return (IRR).
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to assess the economic viability and investment attractiveness of solar energy projects.
- Evaluate financial metrics such as net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), payback period, and cash flow analysis to inform investment decisions.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to optimize project economics and maximize returns on investment.
Market Research:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, regulatory developments, and technological advancements in the solar energy sector.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks that may impact project performance.
Risk Management:
- Perform thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate financial risks associated with solar energy projects.
- Evaluate market, operational, regulatory, and financial risks to ensure projects are effectively managed and aligned with strategic objectives.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Prepare and present financial reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project performance, investment opportunities, and financial analysis to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams, investors, and external partners to effectively communicate financial insights and facilitate decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and investment, with a focus on the renewables industry.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
