Your duties will include:
Lead traffic engineering projects and deliver upon the expectations of the client.
Manage the successful delivery of projects from a client, commercial, program and resource perspective
Manage a diverse range of projects including traffic engineering design, transport and traffic operations and transport infrastructure planning.
Take responsibility for technical reports and other project outputs
Technically lead on projects involving capacity analysis, traffic signal design, ITS, traffic operations, safety analysis, local management plans, traffic calming, road safety studies, way finding strategies, and other related traffic engineering tasks.
Be client facing and focused on delivering work to an excellent standard, in line with client expectations
Develop strong client relationships, winning work through relationships
Work with the ANZ traffic & Transport Planning Practice Leader to develop tactical strategies that are aligned with sector and unit objectives
Initiate and lead business development activities
Provide mentoring, guidance and technical advice to junior staff to up skill and assist in their professional development
Candidate Specification
About you:
Degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering is required;
Minimum of 10 years previous professional experience as a Transport or Traffic Engineer;
Expertise in traffic engineering software SIDRA is a must;
Professional experience with engineering design software AutoCAD;
TrasiCAD, Rapid Plan, Auto Turn (vehicle tracking), and micro-simulation using VISSIM/Aimsun is a plus.
Experience in managing the successful delivery of traffic engineering studies
Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to identify and manage risk
Developing and maintaining excellent internal and external client relationships
Experience in winning work and leading successful tender submissions
Experience in mentoring and guiding junior staff
Excellent communication skills
An ability to solve complex problems and identify new innovative solutions
