About the Role
You will be working for a specialist engineering consultancy who are known for working on innovative and exciting projects in the built environment. This position requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles and materials science. The ideal candidate would have had 5+ years of experience minimally, with a strong background in Structural and Façade engineering.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Structural Engineering Team Lead to develop and strengthen collaborative team offerings
- Mentorship of junior staff to develop their skills in the field, including site testing and monitoring methods
- Leadership position on site
- Knowledge and delivery of remedial solutions involving a variety of materials and construction methods
- Assist in curating and implementing a culture of pride in quality and achievement
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent. Higher education and Chartered status would be an advantage
- A mid to senior structural engineer with minimally 5+ years experience
- Proven design and delivery experience
- Proficiency in structural analysis software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Competent and experienced in providing technical expertise across a broad range of projects without close supervision
- Experience managing team members in the delivery of projects is desirable, but not necessary
