A global leader in motor, drives, and control manufacturing is looking to bring on a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead. This individual will be joining the Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure team. This team is currently focused on developing and rolling out a range of EV charging station products and their corresponding software tools/services to locations across North America. ABLE TO SIT FULLY REMOTE WITH ONE WEEK/MONTH OF TRAVEL TO CLEVELAND, OH.
Senior Software Engineer/EVC Team Lead Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical team lead
- Help drive technical design, ongoing configuration, development, testing, and maintenance to EV charging station software
- Execute hands-on design and implementation of charging station & cloud software solutions for EV charging system
- Develop system architecture using Codesys (writing & debugging EVC software)
- Collaborate with hardware development team and other software development teams working on additional EVCI parts
- Interface cross-functionally with end users, customers, vendors, partners, and internal teams
Senior Software Engineer/EVC Team Lead Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of experience delivering scalable and resilient services at a large enterprise scale
- 2+ years of experience in developing IoT-related solutions
- Prior experience working in operations related fields (Industrial Engineering, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, or Health-care)
- Familiarly with modern software development methods
- Proficiency in software QA practices and testing tools
Senior Software/Engineer EVC Team Lead Pluses:
Prior experience with relevant technologies is highly preferred, including:
- EV Charging Infrastructure and Corresponding protocols
- Networking and cybersecurity
- Cloud services such as Azure or AWS
- Data Acquisition/Databases
- Development & use of APIs
- Sensors and IoT platforms
- Familiarity with relevant program languages and environments such as Codesys, C/C++
