In search of an Senior Project Manager to oversee consulting, design, and design-build projects in Transmission and Substation sectors. This role entails managing substation projects throughout the entire process, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and budgetary constraints. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and engineers is key to the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing numerous large-scale engineering substation projects simultaneously, ranging up to 500kV, from initial concept to detailed design and construction.
- Orchestrating design and construction efforts for both new and existing substations, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Overseeing equipment, materials, and services procurement for substation projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and contractual obligations.
- Acting as a mentor and leader within project teams.
- Leading and overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Leading proposal efforts and devising winning project approaches.
- Utilizing expertise and innovation to tackle highly complex issues within the field.
- Collaborating effectively with lead practitioners, quality managers, and key technical experts.
- Developing and monitoring project budgets and schedules, while aiding in contract negotiation and amendments.
- Identifying growth opportunities with existing clients, especially through the expansion of service offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Mandatory certification in PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA (to be obtained within 12 months of hiring or promotion to the Approved Project Manager list).
- Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required, contingent upon specific job duties and project demands. The frequency of travel may vary based on workload and responsibilities. (10%-15% maximum)
