General Contractor specializing in underground electrical distribution and substation construction throughout the continental US, looking for a Senior Project Manager.
You will collaborate closely with the owner and general contractor to finish ground-up projects of various sizes and scopes. In order to promote and guarantee safe work practices and conditions, you will give instructions to project managers, superintendents, and craft workers. Project costs will range from $1 million to $15 million.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and participate in pre-design, design, and project planning meetings.
- Examine the location; supervise and/or oversee design reviews across disciplines; ensure that codes are followed; and confirm that contract specifications are met.
- As necessary, suggest accepting or rejecting submittals; keep an eye on timeline and delivery deadlines.
Qualififcations:
- 5 years of experience in construction management is required; familiarity in substation construction, and/or medium-to high-voltage transmission.
- OSHA safety training
- Work experience monitoring and maintaining CPM schedules, RFIs, submittals, payment analysis, reviewing active work at the site, attending meetings, and coordinating projects with customers
