An RNG-focused EPC is searching for a self-motivated senior mechanical/process engineer with a proven record of excellent project delivery to lead several projects in the renewable natural gas and biogas utilization field.
In this role, you will be responsible for working alongside other professionals to ensure deadlines are met, liaising with external and internal stakeholders, attending meetings, travelling to the site (occasionally), using CAD software to review detailed designs, review of P&ID's, develop specifications, review and produce calculations to support design. In addition, you will assist the technical director and operational manager to ensure all projects remain within budget and on time. The role may include presentations and compiling of reports for senior management.
** Job location is currently remote/WFH with a preference on individuals to be based in Southern California. Exceptions to be considered for the right candidate. **
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products.
- Review and markup of drawings prepared by design group.

- Analyzing data to write up reports.
- Provide technical feedback during HAZOP reviews.
- Communicating with staff, directors, and clients.
- Conducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products.
- Creating plans and designs using CAD technology
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 10+ years of experience is desired
- Licensed as a professional engineer, California Mechanical PE license is a must or a pathway to obtain in a short period of time, other state licenses are a plus
- Oil and Gas background, renewable energy background and rotating equipment background is a plus.
- Prior experience to biogas industry is desired but not required.
- Additional courses in mathematics, physical science, or design, are recommended.

- Ability to legally work within the United States without company support.
Physical Requirements:
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
