Position Overview: As the Senior Heavy Civil Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing complex deep underground wet utilities projects, including water, sewer, and storm systems, in the Tacoma area. Leveraging your expertise and leadership skills, you will manage all aspects of project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction while achieving project goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of deep underground wet utilities projects, from initial concept to final closeout.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure project profitability and on-time delivery.
- Direct and supervise project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel, to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project success and promote positive outcomes.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and opportunities, and implement effective strategies to mitigate challenges and optimize project performance.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management, with a focus on deep underground wet utilities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, high-complexity projects, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Extensive knowledge of deep underground utility construction methods, materials, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills, with a results-oriented approach to project management.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
