Their office in Houston is experiencing huge growth, backed by their corporate office and they are seeing a rise in commercial work and are looking for a geotechnical engineer with expertise to lead these business critical projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for a variety of projects, including but not limited to foundation design, slope stability analysis, retaining structures, and deep foundation systems.
- Conduct site visits, field inspections, and geotechnical testing to assess subsurface conditions and identify potential risks.
- Perform geotechnical analyses using advanced software tools and techniques, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, proposals, and recommendations based on findings and analysis.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including structural engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers, to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall project designs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong emphasis on design and analysis.
- Proficiency in geotechnical engineering software such as gINT, PLAXIS, and FLAC.
- Proven track record of successfully managing geotechnical projects of varying scale and complexity.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
