The opportunity to work with an Award Winning Global engineering firm. They are a sector-based company, focusing on client needs within the corporate, cultural, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, K-12, residential, retail, and science + technology sectors.
Responsibilities
- Generate and assess system concepts and alternatives to identify the optimal design and engineering solution for each project in accordance with project scope.
- Create design drawings and specifications for plumbing and fire protection systems, including preliminary calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads while following the firm's QA/QC procedures.
- Engage with clients to discuss modifications to designs and/or specifications.
- Conduct systems analysis, prepare reports and studies, and provide cost estimates.
- Oversee the distribution of all approved drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with other members of the design team, including architects, mechanical engineers, and structural engineers, to ensure seamless integration of plumbing and fire protection systems with all trades.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited engineering program
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a consulting engineering firm
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software
- PE license is preferred
- LEED Certification is preferred
