The client is seeking a talented and experienced Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for their data center projects, ensuring the highest levels of performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical design and engineering efforts for data center projects from concept through to completion, including but not limited to power distribution, UPS systems, generators, switch-gear, and lighting systems.
- Develop detailed electrical specifications, drawings, and schematics in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, architects, project managers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall data center design.
- Conduct technical reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues early in the design process.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in electrical engineering, and incorporate innovative solutions to enhance the performance and efficiency of data center infrastructure.
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on electrical systems, providing expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on data center, mission-critical facility or building services projects.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems design, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and lighting systems.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or SKM.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical systems design
