Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in engineering and/or construction management
- Additional 5+ years experience in construction claims/dispute resolution
- Ability to write and peer review reports on complex construction/engineering projects and have a deep understanding of construction processes, regulations, and industry standards
- BSc degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying, construction management or related field
- Strong forensic scheduling and/or delay analysis skills
- Testifying experience as a delay expert is highly desirable
- Business development and client relationship management experience
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. AACE)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in industry-standard software and tools; MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), MS Project, Primavera P6
Responsibilities:
- Provide an independent assessment of the issues in question, backed by your professional expertise and factual evidence
- The preparation of expert reports and testimonies that serve as comprehensive documents that outline your findings, opinions, and the methodologies used to arrive at your conclusion, clearly presented to the parties involved, the court, or the tribunal
- Testify in court proceedings where you will present your findings orally, answer questions, and defend your conclusions
- Navigate complex construction claims and disputes with a focus on delay & disruption
- Provide the full range of dispute resolution services from the preparation of claims, the negotiation of settlements, and support and representation in mediation, adjudication, arbitration or litigation
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and consultants, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, actively engaging with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Identify new business opportunities, develop proposals, and contribute to the growth of the company's client base
