We are currently partnering up with an international developer to search for an experienced Senior Development Manager.

Position Overview: As a Development Manager in the solar industry, you will play a pivotal role in the identification, evaluation, and execution of solar development projects in Taiwan. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of solar projects from site identification and acquisition to permitting, zoning, and interconnection. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of the local regulatory environment, and a passion for renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the identification and evaluation of potential solar project sites, considering factors such as solar resource potential, land availability, zoning regulations, and grid interconnection.
Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and due diligence to assess the technical, economic, and environmental viability of potential solar projects.
Manage relationships with landowners, government agencies, utilities, and other stakeholders to secure land rights, permits, and approvals necessary for project development.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to develop project designs, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
Coordinate with legal, finance, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and permitting requirements.
Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, and identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.
Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes impacting the solar industry in Taiwan, and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
Represent the company in industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development or related roles in the solar industry, with a proven track record of successfully developing and executing utility solar projects in Taiwan.
Deep understanding of the solar project development process, including site identification, permitting, zoning, interconnection, and financing.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of Taiwan's regulatory environment, energy policies, and incentive programs related to solar energy.
Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for renewable energy and a commitment to driving the adoption of solar energy in Taiwan.
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
