The Global Manufacturing Engineering Group at this company is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to enhance the quality and performance of their unique drug delivery devices. In this role, you'll lead the development of hardware/software controls for assembly, packaging equipment, and high-speed applications. Your innovative solutions will drive project success. You'll install new equipment, improve existing systems, and contribute to continuous enhancements. Troubleshooting, analytical skills, and adaptability are key.
Responsibilities:
- Install and troubleshoot control systems for assembly, packaging, and process equipment.
- Develop imaging programs for machinery.
- Collaborate on wiring diagrams and logic for new equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Independently troubleshoot and find solutions.
- Research and analyze data for specs and improvements.
- Contribute to team tasks and projects.
- Create control systems programs from scratch.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in assembly and manufacturing, including design and improvement.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in high-volume, high-speed manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products, especially RSLogix5000 and FTView.
- Knowledge of VFD and Servo drives, preferably AB Powerflex and Kinetix.
- Familiarity with imaging systems and software.
- Proficiency in automation controls, motion control, and robotics.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Effective communication skills.
- SQL Server Database and Visual Basic Programming knowledge is a plus.
- Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
Physical Requirements:
- Anticipated 10% domestic and international travel.
