We are partnering up with an offshore wind developer and looking for a SCADA Operator to join their team. This position is to monitor the operation of the wind farm and substations and report any abnormal grid phenomena. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and maintaining records of faults and their potential impact. Additionally, they will be required to track on-site related electrical engineering projects and communicate with on-site personnel in real time through phone or other communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the operation of the wind farm and substations using the SCADA system
- Report any abnormal grid phenomena and respond to emergencies
- Operate the SCADA system and maintain records of faults and their potential impact
- Track on-site related electrical engineering projects
- Review and execute switch operating procedures
- Communicate with on-site personnel in real time through phone or other communication channels
- Collaborate with project substation, wind farm operators, maritime coordination center, and Taiwan Power Company
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering or related fields
- Experience in operating and maintaining SCADA systems, preferably in the renewable energy sector
- Knowledge of wind turbine technology and operation
- Familiarity with network and communication protocols, such as TCP/IP and MODBUS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work on an on-call night shift and occasional site visits
