We are in search of a Senior Engineer with a deep commitment to environmental stewardship to join our dedicated team in San Francisco. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our projects, actively contributing to every phase of the process.
Your role will involve leveraging your extensive understanding of environmental regulations to ensure that our projects not only meet but exceed all relevant requirements. In our industry, effective communication and collaboration skills are highly prized, and your proficiency in conveying complex ideas and solving problems will be crucial as you address distinctive challenges in environmental engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to feasibility studies by identifying appropriate remedial technologies, formulating remedial options, and conducting thorough evaluations of these alternatives.
- Provide estimates for engineering costs associated with various remediation alternatives.
- Collaborate on engineering design, specifications, contractor selection, and project bidding.
- Oversee the construction, commissioning, and execution of remedial actions, generating as-built drawings and construction completion reports.
- Create and implement work plans for site investigation and remediation activities.
- Supervise the ongoing operation and maintenance of remediation systems, including soil vapor extraction, groundwater pump and treat, stormwater pre-treatment, and sub-slab vapor mitigation.
- Compile reports on cleanup actions, engineering documentation, and project permit requirements.
Qualifications:
- Possess 8-12 years of practical experience in managing environmental investigation and cleanup projects.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Must be a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of California.
- Hold certification in 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with an annual refresher up-to-date.
- Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibit robust practical problem-solving capabilities, with a readiness to work independently and collaboratively within diverse project teams.
