We are looking for a talented and experienced professional to fill the role of Regional Operations Manager with a focus on environmental management to join a growing employee-owned environmental consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in environmental engineering or geology, holding either a Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Professional Geologist (PG) license. The Regional Operations Manager will play a key role in overseeing and optimizing our operations in the Portland region.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the regional operations team, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of environmental projects within the region. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of environmental regulations and ensure that all operations within the region comply with local, state, and federal environmental laws.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders. Represent the company in a professional manner at public meetings and hearings.
Budget Management: Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage budgets for regional operations. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing operations team. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Professional Geologist (PG) license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a diverse team.
