Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Investment Manager to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in investment management, with expertise in financial modelling, joint ventures, acquisitions, and a deep understanding of the renewables sector. This individual will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities to support our growth strategy in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the regional investment strategy, in alignment with the company's overall objectives and targets.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities in the renewables sector, including solar, wind, hydro, and other emerging technologies.
- Evaluate investment proposals, conduct financial due diligence, and perform risk assessments to assess the feasibility and profitability of projects.
- Prepare comprehensive financial models, investment memos, and presentations to support decision-making processes and secure internal approvals.
- Negotiate and structure joint venture agreements, acquisitions, and partnerships with key stakeholders, including developers, investors, and government entities.
- Manage the end-to-end investment process, from initial opportunity assessment to deal closing and post-investment monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, technical, and project development teams to ensure seamless execution of investment transactions.
- Monitor and track the performance of existing investments, conduct periodic reviews, and implement strategic initiatives to optimize returns and mitigate risks.
- Stay informed about market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape to identify potential threats and opportunities for the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in investment management, with a focus on renewable energy projects or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
- Proven track record of successfully executing investment transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, and project financing.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a strong financial acumen and the ability to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.
