Responsible managing assigned project(s) throughout their full lifecycle including developing the scope and technical sections of proposal and procurement documents to participating in contract negotiations and overseeing the delivery of the project plan to successfully accomplish my client's 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction on every project. This position proactively manages the budget, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, and client communications in support of the project's objectives. Provides high level technical tasks while managing and reviewing design related specifications, calculations, reports and plans. Coordinates with internal and external partners including cross-discipline and functional teams to address and problem solve design related issues or concerns. The Project Manager II - Engineering typically manages multi-disciplinary project team(s) for one or more strategic (<$1M) or mini-mega ($1M to <$5M) projects, or may lead and/or work as a discipline lead on a mega ($5M to < $25M) project management team.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Serves as a GEC Project Manager ensuring scope, schedule and budget requirements are achieved.
Provides support to the client's staff on numerous types of Planning, PD&E, design, and construction projects related primarily to capacity improvement projects, renewal & replacement projects, and toll facilities.
Collaborates with client management in planning, production, construction, tolls, maintenance and operations and major program/project stakeholders.
Projects typically involve high levels of agency involvement or complex technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Knowledge of FDOT policies, procedures, and standards is preferred.
General Engineering Consultant (GEC) experience is a plus.
Proven collaborative leadership with effective negotiation, interpersonal and partnering skills.
Strong project financial and schedule management skills.
PE in the State of Florida or ability to obtain within six months
