My client is seeking a Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to join their Northern California teams!
Responsibilities:
- Expected to involve a blend of office and field work, with a particular emphasis on office tasks, the role entails conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Investigations in accordance with ASTM Standards.
- It also involves conducting multi-media sampling (including soil, soil vapor, groundwater, indoor air, methane, surface water, and sediment), as well as lithological logging and preparation of boring logs.
- Additionally, responsibilities include report writing, preparing supporting documentation, and drafting Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System Conceptual and Detailed designs under the supervision of a California Registered Professional Engineer.
- The position may require long days in the field and work at various job sites across Northern California.
- Other duties encompass proposal and budget preparation and management, project management for small to mid-scale projects, and assisting with larger projects.
- Effective communication of project status, schedules, and compliance issues with clients, third parties, and regulatory agencies is essential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant environmental experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer programs (with preference given to AutoCAD, Surfer, and/or ArcGIS), as well as experience with field equipment, is desired.
- A 40-hour HAZWOPER training is preferred, along with professional certification (PE/PG) and knowledge of remediation systems and vapor intrusion mitigation systems.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record is also required.
