Job Description: We are seeking a talented and motivated Transportation Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects, contributing technical expertise and innovative solutions to meet project objectives and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to plan, design, and deliver transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, bridges, and transit facilities.
- Conduct engineering analyses, prepare design calculations, and develop technical drawings and specifications using industry-standard software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, scope of work documents, and project budgets, and participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Conduct field investigations and site visits to assess project conditions, identify constraints, and support project planning and design efforts.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and collaborate with project teams to implement effective solutions and ensure project success.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff, and contribute to the professional development of the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or (EIT) license in the state of Minnesota or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on project planning, design, and delivery.
- Strong technical proficiency in transportation engineering principles, standards, and software tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working on transportation projects in Minnesota or the Midwest region is desirable.
