Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer specializing in buildings to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
Structural Design Leadership:
- Lead and manage structural design teams for building projects, overseeing the development and implementation of structural solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural elements into building designs.
Design and Analysis:
- Develop and review structural designs using software tools and industry standards, ensuring structural integrity and compliance.
- Perform structural analysis, calculations, and simulations to optimize designs and materials.
Project Management and Coordination:
- Manage multiple projects, from conceptualization to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate project requirements and milestones.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Conduct thorough reviews of construction documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Perform quality checks and inspections to verify structural integrity during the construction phase.
Mentoring and Development:
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support for their professional growth.
- Stay updated with industry advancements, codes, and regulations, integrating innovative solutions into projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
- 4-8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on the buildings market.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro) and advanced experience with Revit.
- Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Demonstrated experience in leading structural design teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, both written and verbal.
- Project management experience and Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
