Focusing on the new and existing building envelope whether design and or renovation, the individual and integrated performance of roofing, wall systems, and fenestration significantly impact the overall efficiency of a structure. Crafting and restoring building enclosure systems and components necessitate a harmonious balance between performance metrics and various project factors, including aesthetics, constructability, and cost considerations. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects involving building envelope systems, including roofing, waterproofing, wall systems, and fenestration.
- Conduct detailed condition assessments, forensic investigations, and failure analysis.
- Design and oversee testing programs, providing actionable recommendations.
- Develop comprehensive construction documents and specifications.
- Serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings related to building envelope systems.
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships, identifying new business opportunities.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in building envelope consulting.
- Deep knowledge of building envelope systems.
- Proven experience in condition assessments, forensic investigations, and failure analysis.
- Proficiency in building envelope system design and construction administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- EIT or Professional licensure (PE, RA, or IIBEC credential) required.
