Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Engineer to join our client's team in Downers Grove, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in process engineering within the context of engineering consultancies, demonstrating proficiency in delivering high-quality solutions to clients across various industries (food and beverage, industrial laundry, industrial wastewater, life sciences/pharmaceutical, etc.) .
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their process engineering needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their objectives.
- Conduct process evaluations, simulations, and analyses to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Design and implement process modifications, upgrades, and new installations in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Perform feasibility studies, cost estimations, and risk assessments for proposed engineering projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring the successful execution of projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct thorough reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in process engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong emphasis on consulting within engineering firms.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD) and other relevant engineering tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines and budgets.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure is desirable.
