A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Collaborate in the process design of projects spanning from conceptualization to schematic design and design development phases
- Contribute to the design of process components aligned with project specifications and requirements
- Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment matrices
- Innovate new solutions to enhance production efficiency, safety, and quality for process/manufacturing end users
- Support business development endeavors by crafting conceptual design facility layouts and aiding in proposal development for comprehensive design/build or EPC solutions
- Apply foundational knowledge of prevalent process engineering/design concepts, principles, codes, and procedures within the process engineering services industry
- Occasional travel to prospect and customer sites during project pursuit or execution phases (less than 10% travel expected)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in process engineering and/or process manufacturing facility design, with preference given to those with expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing, corrugated, paper/packaging, food & beverage, industrial laundry, automotive parts, renewable energy manufacturing, or hemp textile manufacturing
- Proficiency in creating/developing process calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, facility layouts, and equipment lists
- Proficient in both Autocad and Revit for facility design purposes
- Strong grasp of industrial engineering principles
- EIT certification and/or Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Ability to tackle challenging problems necessitating adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
