Process Engineer
2.0 Nature & Objective: As a salaried exempt role in the Technical Services department, this position supports the refinery's operational, maintenance, and business development goals. Responsibilities include analyzing refinery data to enhance safety, optimize efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for profitability improvement.
3.0 Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline; preference for chemical or petroleum engineering
- Background in refining, oil & gas, petrochemical, or chemical industries
- Self-motivated with strong leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Proficient in technical and office computer applications
- Must meet United States Department of Homeland Security qualifications for obtaining a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
4.0 Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for safety, quality, and profitability objectives
- Conduct unit operations technical analysis and support troubleshooting and optimization
- Lead or support major and minor projects, including process safety and environmental initiatives
- Adhere to plant safety guidelines and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment
