Job Specifications
- Experience with the NJ LSRP program, NJ Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) laws, state and local Brownfield Programs, and private sector and government/municipal projects is required.
- Experience with NYSDEC laws as well as the NYC Office of Environmental Remediation (OER) and E-Designation Program.
- Experience in private sector and financial institution ASTM/AAI transactions due diligence, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Advanced knowledge and experience in site assessment, environmental sampling techniques and methodology (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapor, indoor air, etc. ), data analysis, and remediation technologies are required.
- Experience in in-situ and ex-situ treatment, chemical and biological applications, and sub-slab depressurization systems, as well as designing, pilot testing, constructing, and operating soil, groundwater, and soil vapor remediation systems.
- Risk assessment and closure experience with dry cleaners, as well as UST, retail petroleum, and bulk terminal risk assessments and closures.
- To both commercial businesses and public regulatory authorities, provide technical management of large-scale site investigation and remediation projects, including report creation, quality control review, and approval of key technical report deliverables.
- Coordinate with and manage field staff, outside consultants, subcontractors, and laboratories
- Oversee and ensure that project deadlines and milestones are met. Ownership of the whole project life cycle, from proposal through purchase order to project closeout and billing.
- Assist with complex remedial applications, research and development, risk assessment, regulatory negotiations, and contract negotiations.
- Meeting budgets, reviewing cost control efficiency, revenue, expenses, margins, unbilled revenue, and backlog revenue are all important components of managing financial aspects of assigned projects or clients.

- Create technical scopes of work, pricing estimates, and proposals for clients.
- Contribute to the creation of new client relationships and opportunities by contributing to key proposals and client presentations, actively participating in client meetings, and having a broad grasp of the environmental industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from accredited college or university in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in environmental consulting, including Phase II Subsurface Investigation and remediation projects. Specific to Phase I ESAs, must meet ASTM E 1527 qualifications as an Environmental Professional
- Certifications / Licenses
- State licensure as a New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) is required.
- Professional Geologist (P.G.), Professional Engineer (P.E.), or similar professional environmental certification/licensure is a plus.
- OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Operations & Rescue (HAZWOPER) Training Certification is required.
