SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Industrial Hygienist to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia. As a Principal Industrial Hygienist (Seller/Doer), you will play a pivotal role in our organization by combining technical expertise with strong business acumen. Your primary responsibilities will involve leading industrial hygiene projects, providing technical guidance to clients, and actively participating in business development activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage industrial hygiene projects from initiation to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline, and effectively communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Conduct industrial hygiene assessments, including exposure assessments, air quality monitoring, noise evaluations, and ergonomic evaluations.
- Analyze data, interpret results, and prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
Technical Guidance:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in industrial hygiene, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs and develop tailored industrial hygiene solutions.
- Conduct thorough reviews of technical reports and provide constructive feedback to ensure accuracy and quality.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Philadelphia area, leveraging your industry knowledge and professional network.
- Actively engage in client relationship management, building strong partnerships and cultivating long-term business associations.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the value and expertise of our industrial hygiene services.
- Participate in proposal development, including scoping, pricing, and contract negotiations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Industrial Hygienist, with a focus on exposure assessments, air quality monitoring, noise evaluations, and ergonomic evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing industrial hygiene projects, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of industrial hygiene regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated business development skills, including the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities, build client relationships, and contribute to proposal development.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
