As a Principal Geologist, you will play a key leadership role in the organization, responsible for overseeing and managing a wide range of geological projects. You will provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to our clients and internal teams while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Your ability to effectively communicate complex geological concepts and develop innovative solutions will be critical in this role. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in geology, a proven track record of successful project management, and the ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geological projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on geologic investigations, site assessments, and environmental impact assessments.
- Conduct comprehensive field investigations, collect and analyze geological data, and prepare accurate and concise reports.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to address geological challenges, incorporating sustainable practices and minimizing environmental impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and regulatory authorities, to develop integrated solutions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional service.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, advancements, and regulations in the field of geology, and integrate them into project strategies and practices.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior geologists, fostering their professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in geological consulting or a similar industry.
- Professional Geologist (P.G.) certification is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in geologic investigations, site assessments, and environmental impact assessments.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex geological projects on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in cultivating and maintaining client relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in industry-standard geologic software and tools.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to mentor and guide junior geologists.
