We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Environmental Compliance Specialist to join the team at an environmental consulting firm in Seattle. This is a full-time position that requires a candidate who has extensive experience working with the Washington State Department of Ecology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental compliance strategies for our organization.
- Ensure that our organization is in compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Lead environmental compliance audits and assessments to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver environmental compliance training programs for our staff.
- Manage environmental compliance reporting and documentation requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that environmental compliance considerations are integrated into all relevant aspects of our operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of experience in environmental compliance
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, as well as industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing environmental compliance audits, assessments, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
