We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Air Quality Consultant to join the team in the vibrant Pacific Northwest region. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in air quality management, regulations, and compliance, as well as a proven track record of successfully leading and managing air quality projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in air quality consulting projects.
- Lead and manage air quality assessments, monitoring programs, and regulatory compliance projects.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to address air quality challenges and mitigate environmental impacts.
- Conduct air quality modeling and data analysis to assess air pollution levels and identify potential risks.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with air quality regulations and standards.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and permit applications for regulatory review.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members, fostering professional growth and development within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in air quality consulting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of air quality regulations, including Clean Air Act (CAA), National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), and state-specific regulations in the Pacific Northwest.
- Proficiency in air quality modeling software (e.g., AERMOD, CALPUFF) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Air Quality Professional, Professional Engineer) preferred but not required
