A fast growing, innovative EPC is currently seeking a driven Project Engineer specializing in Civil Engineering for their Power Generation Business Sector. This position is situated in our Louisville, KY office, managing various projects across Kentucky and neighboring states. We seek an enthusiastic individual to provide support for projects related to power stations, roadways, landfills, renewable energy, and abandoned mine land reclamation projects. The role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work arrangements, subject to supervisor approval. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented setting, leveraging their educational background and professional experience to advance as an engineer within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting civil site proposals.
- Manage tasks for assigned projects (including schedules, budgets, and quality assurance).
- Develop site grading plans.
- Create erosion and sediment control plans.
- Design stormwater management plans.
- Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic/drainage plans.
- Design utility and relocation plans.
- Develop maintenance and protection of traffic plans.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations.
- Handle permit applications (e.g., earth disturbance permits, building permits).
- Develop access road sections.
- Produce construction drawings, specifications, and quality control plans.
- Generate construction cost estimates.
- Provide owner's engineer support during construction.
- Conduct field investigations and inspections.
- Perform daily/weekly construction inspections.
- Oversee earthwork construction quality control, compaction testing, and concrete testing.
- Conduct ESC and SWPPP inspections.
- Perform environmental monitoring.
The candidate should be willing and able to travel to project sites as necessary, primarily in the mid-west and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
