We are seeking a dynamic and proactive PMO Director to join an offshore wind developer. As a key member of the Project Senior Management team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the project management landscape, ensuring excellence throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will encompass project coordination, stakeholder management, team leadership, and the development of efficient project management methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Project Directors to facilitate the Project Reporting and Decision-Making Process, including preparation for Shareholder and Steering Committees, and relevant documentation.
- Manage external project stakeholders, fostering productive relationships and communication.
- Lead the project-specific PMO team comprised of experts in scheduling, interface management, risk documentation, and resource management, while also connecting with the corporate-level PMO organization.
- Develop and maintain the Project Management Office, implementing monitoring and tracking methodologies to enhance project transparency and performance evaluation.
- Establish and manage the integrated "Project Management Plan" outlining processes, responsibilities, tools, and templates.
- Coordinate Project Management Tools such as Document Management and Resource Planning Systems.
- Cultivate a supportive work environment for the PMO team, promoting quality outputs, trust, and constructive feedback.
- Provide training, guidance, and expertise to project team members to ensure their project management skills remain current.
- Ensure alignment of the Project Organization with company-wide project model and management lifecycle principles.
- Report to the Head of Project Management Office in the line organization and the Project Director in the Project Organization, while effectively coordinating, leading, and streamlining project management efforts within the Project Team.
Requirements:
- A seasoned Project Management Professional with a dedication to applying Project Management Principles and Systems to optimize Project Team performance.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects, particularly in the offshore renewable energy sector, within a leadership capacity in an international context.
- Proficiency as a qualified Project Manager (preferably PMI certified), serving as a role model for other Project Managers and showcasing adaptability in dynamic and intricate environments.
- Relevant experience in establishing and maintaining document management systems for large-scale organizations.
- Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in German and/or Chinese is a plus.
