A multinational and industry leading chemical group specializing in performance additives and solutions for water treatment & lubricants, oil & gas and plastics industries are looking for a Northeastern lead sales manager.
Operating through 20 manufacturing plants around the world, including in the USA, Italy, Spain, Germany, Japan and India. It has seven state of the art innovation centres and over 1000 employees. Responsibilities:
- As "Area Sales Manager" for the Northeast Region, you take ownership and full responsibility for all direct sales and business development activities dealing with speciality chemicals focusing on industrial water & process treatment industries, HI&I cleaning and personal care markets.
- Planning and preparing an annual budget for assigned territory/customer base and tasks to meet this expectation.
- Developing a clear and coherent business strategy in conjunction with the Sales Director for the assigned territory.
- Technical problem selling mode with solutions and value selling
- Coordination of technical seminars for customer and training of distributors as required in conjunction with the R&D and Technical Team.
- Responsible of a current customer base with the daily activities and growing organically with value selling.
- As a leader in your field of speciality, you will be called to represent the Company at contract and sales negotiations in your area; ensuring constant communication between you and your Sales Colleagues / Sales & Marketing management dealing with equivalent products & applications in other parts of the world
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Chemicals industry
- 5 years front line sales experience
- Chemical Speciality products experience with water/process treatment (Mining Applications, Industrial, Municipal Water)
- B2B Sales experience
- Ability to travel 50-70% Education:
- BS Chemical Engineering or another scientific discipline
- Understanding of the Northeastern region with Industry contacts
- Must be located in the Northeast with accessibility to a major airport
