Job Description: Mechanical Engineer IV
Summary:
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2-10 years of MEP experience to work on diverse projects in Aviation, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical fields. They must be proficient in AutoCAD MEP and REVIT, possess strong skills in REVIT and MEP, and have knowledge of trade-specific design and calculation software. Basic understanding of construction documentation, design phase requirements, and energy analysis software (eQuest, Trace, etc.) is also required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited Institution
- Minimum of 2 to 10 years of relevant experience in the MEP field working with projects such as Aviation, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical
- Strong REVIT, and MEP skills from mark-ups through the production of detailed drawings
- Knowledge of trade-specific design and calculation software, including energy analysis software (eQuest, Trace, etc.)
- Basic understanding of proper system selection
- Basic knowledge of applicable codes
- Ability to pass the EIT exam or have taken EIT and will be taking the PE exam
- Proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD MEP and REVIT
Responsibilities:
- Create basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or senior designers
- Perform equipment selections, and load/energy and pressure drop calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes
- Work collaboratively with the internal design team and external clients and consultants
- Coordinate with other disciplines and work in close contact with the entire design team
- Conduct field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinate new work
- Assist the Senior Engineer in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis, and other technical reports and drawings using CAD/REVIT
- Follow drawing organization format and company standards
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments
- Attend continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topics
