We are a representing an engineering consultancy specializing in geotechnical services across the US. They are currently dominating multiple markets including environmental, commercial and transportation. They are seeking a highly experienced and technical engineer with experience leading projects from cradle to grave to come in and take a lead on these business critical projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring quality and adherence to industry standards
- Conduct geotechnical analysis, including soil and rock mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and more
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful project outcomes
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and proposals
- Review and approve engineering designs and calculations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, codes, and regulations
- Participate in business development activities, including client meetings and proposal development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PLAXIS, GeoStudio)
