Job Description:
As the Lead AV Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation and performance of AV systems. You will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning phase of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our clients' expectations are not only met but exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- AV System Designing and Review: Collaborate with the design engineering team to review and assess AV system designs, ensuring they align with project requirements and industry standards.
- Develop detailed AV system designs, including audio and video conferencing systems, digital signage, control systems, and multimedia presentation solutions.
- Commissioning Leadership: Lead the commissioning process for AV systems, ensuring all components work seamlessly and meet project specifications.
- System Integration: Work closely with the integration team to ensure proper integration of AV systems, including audio and video conferencing, digital signage, control systems, and other components.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks to guarantee the reliability and functionality of AV systems.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from installation to commissioning.
- Client Interaction: Act as a key point of contact for clients during the commissioning phase, addressing any concerns, and providing excellent customer service.
- Documentation: Create detailed commissioning documentation, including test plans, reports, and as-built documentation.
- AV System Optimization: Optimize AV systems for performance, making adjustments to audio and video settings, control systems, and network configurations.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise during commissioning, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Training: Provide training to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of AV systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audiovisual Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in commissioning AV systems, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of AV equipment, control systems, signal flow, and system design principles.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications - CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I.
