Technical and advisory consultancy specializing in wind energy, onshore, offshore, and floating are looking to hire a APAC Geotechnical Lead to join their business
The Geotechnical lead will be involving in the project development services, owner's engineering, technical due diligence, and independent engineering to deliver project and package work across a range of offshore wind projects. This role will include a combination of assignments on consultancy work on studies and due diligence as well as some longer-term assignments working more closely with their clients
Main Responsibilities:
- Representing and leading long-term relationships with stakeholders and clients
- Co-ordinate engineering activities will all stakeholders.
- Manage technical interfaces across an offshore wind project. Responsible for engineering management practices.
- Direct and lead a team of engineers to deliver consultancy work for offshore wind projects
- All project phases from opportunity through to ops
- Leadership of engineering activities and design optimization
- Excellence in delivery management
- Prepare and update technical documentation
- Co-ordination, and developing of supply chain
- Work closely with the project manager
- Ensuring compliance with company quality management system and the expectations of clients
- Mentoring and training more junior engineers
- Producing high quality technical bid input
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of direct experience in the offshore wind industry
- Degree in Engineering
- Ability to co-ordinate, direct and lead projects under pressure and work under own initiative with minimum supervision
- Have an excellent understanding of the key engineering interfaces in an offshore wind project
- Direct experience of offshore wind installation
- Project management ability
- Ability to produce excellent reports and presentations in English and Japanese
