Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Construction Senior Project Manager to oversee all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion. Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles throughout the project lifecycle.
- Resource Management:
- Oversee the allocation of resources including labor, materials, and equipment to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure that construction meets regulatory requirements and client expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality assurance checks to identify and address any deficiencies promptly.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of project progress, milestones, and any changes.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
- Facilitate effective communication among project team members to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Project Execution and Oversight:
- Manage day-to-day operations of construction projects, including coordinating work schedules, monitoring progress, and resolving issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports.
- Generate comprehensive project reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Project Manager, with a minimum of 7 years in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and practices, with expertise in commercial construction projects.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- PMP or other relevant certifications preferred.
